OK, so now it's starting to look much more like a cinema at last! We got a couple of Fat Boy bean bags (some friends have one, it's awesome) as dedicated cinema seats are way out of budget unfortunately. Got the projector mounted, lighting all working, carpet down and screen up. Click through to see a few more photos :) The screen took about an hour to build and hang on the wall with a mate (please ignore the subwoofer sized hole... I'll get to that!) and we plumbed in the radiator too. That'll be painted black and have a dark red grille fitted over it to match the rest of the walls. I promise I'll take proper photos soon, but with the room not quite finished it's hard to get motivated... Next weekend, rear speakers, subwoofer, maybe even the AV amp :)

I know it's been ages since the last update, so I'll split up the progress into two posts. Here's the choice of colours in the room - matt black ceiling and front wall, with very dark red side and back walls. I can't afford it right now, but eventually the front wall will be covered with acoustic fabric with some nice absorption material behind. Also, I'll get some panelling along the side walls with a combination of absorption and diffusion hidden inside... but again, I can't afford that right now so this will have to do :) By the way - the red isn't nearly as red in the flesh. I'll need to get a better camera for the next post to show it properly.
