Kitchen Transformation
So for the past year or so (!) we've been bashing out the old kitchen and fitting a new one, whilst working around a complete heating system upgrade, new wiring, AV kit installs, a day job and more weddings and birthdays than I can count! Here's a short photo walk-through from start to (nearly) finished! This is the finished article, click through to see how we got there!
OK, so it didn't start off looking like that... Here's the old kitchen! It was a really tough decision to bin the yellow units and patterned tiles, but in the end it had to go :)
The extension was built by a decent builder (recommended by a friend) as I was knocking about the old kitchen, so we were living in a real mess for what seemed like ages...
New downlighters popped in, and some speaker wires too :) New boiler relocated so it fits nicely in a cupboard, and me cleaning up (again)
So once the extension was built, we gave the old kitchen a quick skim of plaster and paint and I got started on the units. Here's the first lot of units going in, with the double oven and hob fitted complete with a bit of worktop ;)
Nice big 600mm x 600mm white porcelain floor tiles look great!
Here I've added some more units in the middle, new sink fitted, integrated dishwasher and washing machine plumbed in! Also, got some lighting in and another bit of worktop.
So it's looking a bit more complete here - Got the kickboards on and the cooker hood up - still missing a few bits though!
Now it's nearly done... More lights, some artwork, tiles on the walls, curtains up!
